Twitterpated Workshop on the Go

I have been busy this weekend finishing the samples for the Twitterpated Workshop on the Go! I have included a photo of everything that I have made with it and there is a ton.

The Workshops on the Go have been redesigned by Close to My Heart to be better than ever! The basic kit now includes step-by-step instructions for a 2 page layout AND 6 cards, a stamp set, and a full package of embellishments. The entire cost of the workshop now counts towards Hostess Rewards and the Stamp of the Month. The Best option has been divided to show each individual accessory and the price of each. So you can get one, some, or all of them.

I include a cutting guide to maximize your paper packet, templates, and recipes. I have made 22 fully embellished projects with this one workshop so far and still have left overs! That is less than $1.36 per project with the basic kit and $1.85 with the all the best options.

If you are interested in attending the workshop on September 19th, please RSVP to me by September 6th in order to assure enough processing and shipping time from Close to My Heart. Remember that you can still come to the workshop date and work on your own projects.

The Twitterpated Workshop on the Go for $29.95 (not including shipping & tax) comes with:
- Twitterpated Level 2 Paper Packet
- My Acrylix Hello There Stamp Set
- Designer Ribbon Rounds- Chocolate Collection
- Step-by-Step Workshop Guide

The Best Options include the following:
- Dimensional Elements In Color- Organic ($3.50)
- Natural Hemp ($2.25)
- Brads- Basic Assortment ($4.95)

By purchasing just the basic Workshop on the Go, you qualify for the September Stamp of the Month at 25% off or $17.21

365 Cards- Super Sketchy Sunday

I finally had some time to create projects for myself this weekend during my open house! It was nice. I made this card for the 365 Cards Challenge with leftovers from the Twitterpated Workshop on the Go. I love the 365 Cards website because it serves as an inspiration when you are stuck in a rut with your cardmaking! I often find myself creating the same card designs over and over, and this helps me prevent that. I unfortunately have been super busy and have not been able to participate in the challenges during the month of August much, but hopefully can begin again!

Today's challenge is Super Sketchy Sunday and you are supposed to follow this sketch:

I used the following products as a part of the Twitterpated Workshop on the Go:
-Twitterpated Level 2 Paper Pack
-Dimensional Elements In Color: Organic
-Hemp
-4.25 x 5.5 Card Base (Value Pack Cards & Envelopes)

Check out the Twitterpated Workshop on the Go post to see everything that I created. I will be hosting this workshop on September 19th. It will be available to customers beginning September 1st with the release of the Autumn/Winter 2009 Idea Book. If you do not live in the Southeast Ohio region and are still interested, I can ship the Workshop on the Go directly to you! It comes with:
- Level 2 Paper Packet
- Full Package of Embellishments
- Size B Stamp Set
- Step by Step Workshop Guide

Technique- Sanding

Today's Technique: Sanding

All Close to my Heart Cardstock has a white core, which makes for great distressing. I used to be scared of distressing and "ruining" my paper, but after finding color core cardstock at the store I have ventured slightly into it. One of my favorite things to do is sanding. By sanding, it takes off the top layer of cardstock and exposes the core of the cardstock. For Close to my Heart cardstock, this will be white.

For these examples, I ran a piece of Blush cardstock through the Cuttlebug using the Floral Fantasy embossing folder. Then I sanded off the top, which left the raised up design white.

Before Sanding:

After Sanding
Sanding Kit (1 block, 3 sheets 4x4" sandpaper, 1 emery board): 3.50

Blush 12x12 Cardstock (24 pack): 9.95
Winter Cozy 12x12 Cardstock Combo Pack (24 sheets with 4 each of 6 colors): 9.50

Distressing Kit (includes the sanding kit and many other tools and distressing supplies in a little tool box---on my wishlist!): 34.95

Here is the finished card using the My Acrylix You're A Hoot Stamp Set and Bamboo ink.

Moon Doggie Workshop on the Go

I wanted to remind everyone that I will be hosting a Workshop on the Go August 22nd. The Moon Doggie paper featured for this workshop is the perfect vintage look for any summer pictures. I will show you how to get a number of scrapbooking layouts and cards out of this one paper pack.

Don't want to do the Moon Doggie workshop? Just come and crop- working on your scrapbooking or card making. It is free and there are the nice big tables to work on. We will also have snacks.

Please RSVP so that I know how many to plan for. If you are interested in the Moon Doggie workshop, please respond ASAP so that I can order your materials! The deadline will be Wednesday August 12, I will only have a few extra kits. Information is below.

Another advantage to coming? You will get to see the brand new products that aren't released until September! The new paper is beautiful and I just love the new stamp sets. There are so many creative possibilities with the new products! Even if you can't stay and crop, just stop by and say hello anytime!
